Live Safety Map
Safety App UK combines two sources into one live map:
- Official police data — publicly available crime statistics, refreshed regularly
- Community reports — verified incidents shared by other users, weighted by how recent and credible they are
Every marker tells you what was reported and when — never a vague, unexplained “danger zone.”
Safer Route Navigation
Ask Safety App UK for directions and it doesn’t just find the shortest path — it actively favours streets with lower reported risk, the same way Waze reroutes you around a traffic jam. And where there is no genuinely safe way through, it says so rather than dressing one route up as safe: you choose between the fastest route and the one passing the fewest flagged areas. You’ll always see why a route was suggested, and you can switch back to the fastest option any time.
Multi-Level SOS
Safety App UK doesn’t wait for one dramatic button press. It reads context to reduce false alarms while staying ready when it matters:
- Quiet awareness — a gentle notification when you’re walking into a flagged area, so you can simply cross the road
- Automatic SOS mode — the one that matters most: if your position crosses into a high-risk area, SOS mode starts on its own, with live video, whether or not you have a route set and without you touching the phone
- Manual SOS — a shake gesture or the SOS button, for when you see something yourself: your circle is alerted instantly with your live location and video
Before you rely on SOS
Safety App UK’s SOS tools alert the people in your trusted circle — they do not contact the police or ambulance service. In a genuine emergency, always call 999 (or your local emergency number) first.
Trusted Circle & Live Video
Add the people you trust most. The moment SOS mode starts, whether you began it or the app did, they receive a push notification. One tap opens a live map of your location plus a live video stream straight from your phone — no separate app, no delay.
Recording That Protects You
Recording only starts when SOS mode does — automatically as you enter a high-risk area, or by shake gesture or button. If you cancel, it’s permanently deleted. If you don’t, it’s securely saved so it can be used as evidence if needed. You’re always in control of what’s kept.
Personalised Sensitivity
Live near an area with a higher risk score? Mute it for yourself without changing what other users see. Want extra alerts on a route your teenager walks home? Set up a Watched Profile with their consent for tighter thresholds — just for them.
